Advertising standards
Advertising must be identifiable, lawful and not false or misleading. The website intends to follow the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable Central Consumer Protection Authority advertising guidelines.
An advertisement does not become official or verified merely because it appears beside village information.
Official legal reference
Advertisers and publishers should review the current Consumer Protection Act, CCPA guidelines and any sector-specific advertising rules that apply to the advertised product or service.
Separation from editorial content
Paid placements must be labelled as advertisement, sponsored or a similar clear term. Ads must remain visually separate from village codes, source notes, navigation and correction information.
- Ads are not government notices
- Ads are not part of the source dataset
- Ads do not influence village codes or editorial corrections
- Sponsored links must not imitate download, search or navigation buttons
Restricted advertising
The website may reject or remove advertising that is unlawful, deceptive, unsafe, discriminatory, exploitative or unsuitable for a general audience. Advertisers remain responsible for claims, permissions, landing pages and legal compliance.
- No fake government schemes, certificates or recruitment notices
- No misleading financial, medical, education or employment claims
- No malware, forced downloads, impersonation or phishing
- No ads that request Aadhaar, OTPs, passwords or bank credentials through deceptive means
Cookies and ad personalisation
Advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers for delivery, frequency control, fraud prevention and measurement. Personalised advertising should operate only with the notice and choice required by applicable law and platform policy.
Placement and performance
Ad space should be reserved to reduce layout shift. Ads must not cover the direct answer, prevent table use, interfere with mobile navigation or cause accidental clicks.
Advertising contact and complaints
Send advertising proposals, campaign questions, trademark concerns or ad complaints to advertising@tripura.villagecodes.in. Include the page URL, advertiser name, screenshot if available and a short description.
We aim to acknowledge an ad complaint within 7 working days and may pause a placement while a serious complaint is reviewed.
